Havainne Oy has today decided to close down its operations. Key reason for this decision is the challenging market dynamics due to a very slow moving market and not high enough volume deliveries.

Havainne Oy was founded in 2009. Sales of the Valkky traffic indicator capsule started in Finland in 2010. Havainne Oy products have today been sold to eight markets in Europe.

Two independent studies show that Valkky traffic indicator capsules decreases car speed at pedestrian crossings and that car drivers give more space to people crossing the roads after the installation of Valkky traffic indicator capsules. Even with clear facts on the positive impact of our solutions we have not been able to enter into volume business states Ben Hasselblatt, CEO of Havainne Oy.

To date Valkky capsules have been sold in Finland to more than 50 cities/municipalities.

”It is a sad moment not only for the company and its partners, but also for the pedestrian safety in general. Too many accidents still happen on pedestrian crossings across the world. There is a clear need for further improving the safety for pedestrians and cyclists and also to develop flexible solutions for increased visibility/safety.”

Havainne Oy is convinced that there is a need for flexible solutions for safer and better pedestrian crossings across the world.
