Havainne Oy Signs exclusive agreement for the French and Spanish markets

Havainne Oy has signed an exclusive agreement with Lacroix Signalisation covering the whole Valkky product family. The agreement covers the French and Spanish markets and is a concrete step in Havainne Oy:s internationalization efforts.

VP Sales and Marketing Ben Hasselblatt has been appointed CEO of Havainne as of 1.1.2013. At the same time Jonas Geust resumes new executive position in an other Finnish company. Havainne Oy:s target is to continue international expansion. Jonas Geust will remain as a board member at Havainne Oy.

Havainne Oy has today signed an agreement for Valkky distribution in the Russian Federation. First units have been ordered to St. Petersburg and Moscow. This agreement is an important step forward in our internationalization process says Ben Hasselblatt, VP Sales & Marketing. Our solutions are effective and easy to install on existing crosswalk infrastructure. Valkky products have now been delivered to eight markets in Europe.

Valkky capsules ordered to mine factory in Finland

Two new distributors in Europe

Havainne Oy has partnered with two new distributors, one in Sweden and one in Poland. This is the result of a successful trade fair participation at the end of March 2012 in Amsterdam.

Havainne plans to expand further during 2012 in other selected markets in and close to Europe.

New report on Valkky suitability in Poland

The Valkky traffic indicators have for two months been installed in the Polish city of Chorzow. During the installation the products have been studied for their suitability in the market. According to the report, Valkky fits well into the Polish market.

Valkky produkt family well received at Intertraffic2012

Valkky product family has generated a big interested at the Intertraffic 2012 fair in Amsterdam. Already during the first day th Valkky Counter product registred 2247 people passing by the stand and towards the end of day 2 the number is getting close to 3000. Specially the illuminated crosswalk sign - Valkky Sign - has generated a lot of interest with its recently launched 220V version.

Media and traffic police actively involved in first Valkky installations in Poland

Havainne Oy has 19.03.2012 installed the first Valkky capsules in Poland on two crosswalks in the city of Chorzow. Chorzow city was from the first meeting very eager about Valkky and the benefits it brings.

After the installation Chorzow city held together with Havainne Oy a press conference for the Polish media, other Polish cities and the traffic police.

Havainne Oy, a Finnish company specializing in safety of pedestrians,cyclists, and other light traffic, has today announced a new product designed to add safety and visibility on crosswalks and light traffic
routes.

Välkky Sign is a crosswalk traffic sign that highlights approaching people in dark and poor visibility conditions. Equipped with motion detector and a light condition sensor, Välkky Sign is a unique product in the market today. When pedestrian is about to cross the street, the
traffic sign itself starts illuminating from within, providing a natural and effective way to provide additional reaction time to drivers approaching the crosswalk.

The intelligent traffic indicator Välkky will be presented at IBM's 100-years exhibition in Finland during 25.5 - 10.06.2011. The exhibition is a summary of history, present and future. Välkky has a positive impact

SITO (www.sito.com) has completed the first part of a study to determine the impact of installed Välkky products on drivers behaviour. After installing Välkky's in average 10% more drivers slow down when a pedestrian is crossing a crosswalk and in some cases up to 15% of the drivers slow down. The study was done at four crosswalks in Espoo during October-November. This study complements the earlier study (by Destia) that indicates that the average speed at a crosswalk with Välkky drops with 5%
